Q. How much does it cost to work with you?
My rate is $150+HST per session for individual counselling and $165+HST for couples counselling. I accept payment through VISA, Mastercard, and e-transfer (email@example.com).
Q. I think I would benefit from counselling, but I can’t afford the standard fee. Do you offer a reduced rate?
Yes! To help make counselling accessible, I offer a limited number of reduced-rate spots. I offer a reduced rate of $90+HST per 50-minute session for a maximum of 12 sessions. To qualify, you must be unable to pay the full session rate due to financial or personal difficulty.
Contact me to find out if there are any spots available.
Q. Are your services covered under extended health insurance policies?
Many health insurance plans cover a portion of psychotherapy costs. It’s your responsibility to verify that you have coverage for a Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
It is not easy juggling a thousand things at once. Sometimes, unexpected things come up and you cannot make a prior commitment. If you can’t make your appointment, I would be happy to reschedule but I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice. If you can’t give 24 hours’ notice or you miss the session without giving proper notice, payment will be collected. If you have any concerns about this policy, I would be more than happy to discuss it in advance.
Q. How does online therapy work?
Great news! Online therapy is just as effective as in-person counselling for most presenting problems. When I was searching for the best platform for online counselling, I was searching for a platform that would be secure and would be easy to use. I am thrilled to say that I have found it! An hour before your session, you will get an email from the Jane App that will include a link to your session. If you are on a computer, click the link and you’ll be in. If you are using an iPhone or an iPad, you will have to download the Jane App.
Better Days Counselling and Psychotherapy offers online therapy for young adults seeking relief from stress, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship concerns across Ontario.
