Like most, the journey towards adulthood was not smooth sailing for me. So much about adulthood was surprising. It was almost like I did not get the memo that it would be this hard—I was completely unprepared! With time and support, I learned to challenge my beliefs about adulthood, be more compassionate with myself, and prioritize my responsibilities. I love what I do because I have been there, too. And I want you to know that it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks or says about your life; your feelings and experiences are valid just as they are.

I help my clients stop feeling limited by their struggles and start living a life in line with their values, passions, and dreams. I particularly love working with post-graduate students, young professionals, and parents to develop the tools and skills to live life better than before.

Every person who walks through my (virtual) door is unique, and because of this, I do not offer a one size fits all form of counselling. I use an integrative approach to therapy which means I pull from many of the different therapeutic approaches. My favourites are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Together, we will create an individualized plan for you to help you achieve your counselling goals! To best support my clients, I have training in couple‘s counselling, maternal mental health, narrative therapy for trauma, and suicide intervention.

From my experience with cancer patients and individuals with chronic pain, I learned about the power of sharing one’s story, being seen and fully understood by someone else. I became a psychotherapist to facilitate this type of space for others, where growth, self-compassion, and greater self-understanding happens.

I help people shift their relationship with themselves or their challenges so that they can establish a grounded sense of well-being. Whether we are meeting during a life transition, a period of loss or deep pain, or a particularly challenging time, I will work collaboratively with you to build resilience and reconnect with your needs, values, and identity. I typically work with clients seeking support to navigate their anxiety, depression, grief, stress, burnout, mental illness, and relationship difficulties. One of my particular interests is in working with people with a self-critical inner voice to better meet themselves with compassion.

Together with you, I work to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique lived experience. I work from a trauma-informed, inclusive, and strengths-based perspective, meeting you where you are today. I draw from a multitude of therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness-informed therapy, compassion-focused therapy, emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and internal family systems. I offer a safe therapeutic space, grounded in a foundation of empathy, respect, and compassion, while I accompany you on your journey towards self-discovery and personal betterment.
